Genus ABS India inaugurates its new bull semen stud - BRAHMA
PUNE, India (April 28, 2016)— Genus ABS India, in Joint Venture (JV) collaboration with B G Chitale, Bhilwadi, officially opened its new bull stud facility BRAHMA. Brahma bull stud derives its name from the village where it is located Brahmanand Nagar, District Sangli. The completion of the stud is a major milestone for our operations in this fascinating country, which offers so much opportunity for building our business and pursuing our vision.
Brahma Facility is equipped to house 116 bulls with the production capacity of over 7 million units per year. Brahma Facility houses bull breed of HF, Jersey, Holstein Cross, Red Sindhi (Zebu) & Buffalo bulls. Among its innovations, collection processes, artificial vagina (AV) sterilisation, incubation, and washing are all undertaken in the barns themselves, leaving no possibility of contamination in the lab area. Semen collections reach the lab through pneumatic tubes, making the process much faster. The facility also uses specially treated water with different compartments for different processes.
