A Landmark Moment for Indian Dairy Genetics

Genus Breeding India Private Limited (ABS India), in collaboration with Chitale Group (Chitale Dairy), is proud to announce the import of elite Holstein bulls from ABS Global, Wisconsin (USA), marking a historic milestone for Indian dairy farmers. For the first time in India, live Holstein bulls with TPI above 3000 have been introduced by ABS India, setting a new benchmark for genetic excellence, productivity, and long-term genetic progress in the Indian dairy sector.

This significant achievement was commemorated during a special launch event held at the Bramha Semen Station of Chitale Genus ABS India Private Limited. The event was graced by Mr. Vishvas Chitale, Director of Chitale Dairy; Dr. Dinesh Singh Rawat, General Manager, ABS India; Dr. rahul gupta,Operations Head, ABS India; Ms. Shilpa J., Head HR, ABS India; and Mr. Tajuddin Ahmed, Sales Head, ABS India.

During the ceremony, Dr. Dinesh Singh Rawat formally handed over the first batch of semen from these elite Holstein bulls to Mr. Vishvas Chitale, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter in advanced dairy genetics for India. Dr. Rahul Gupta presented a photo frame capturing key moments, documents, and milestones of the bull import journey. The event concluded with the unveiling of the new Sire Directory, officially introducing these world-class Holstein bulls to Indian dairy farmers.

Sexed and conventional semen from these bulls will be available soon for Indian dairy farmers, supporting their breeding programs with world-class Holstein genetics, enabling faster genetic gain, improved productivity, and sustainable growth for Indian dairy farms.
