On 25th July 2025, Genus ABS India had the distinguished honour of hosting Honourable Governor of Gujarat and Chancellor of State Universities, Shree Acharya Devvrat ji, at the Gujarat Bovine Semen Sexing Institute in Patan. His gracious presence marked a milestone in our journey toward advancing bovine genetics and building a sustainable future for India’s dairy sector.
Accompanying the Honourable Governor were several esteemed dignitaries, whose presence added immense value to the occasion. Shree Shankar Chaudhary, Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, attended the visit and expressed encouragement for technological innovation in animal husbandry. Dr. Falguni Thakkar, Director of Animal Husbandry and CEO of Gujarat Livestock Development Board (GLDB), was also present, reinforcing the importance of collaborative governance in livestock development.
We were privileged to also welcome Shree Tusharkumar Y. Bhatt, Collector of Patan, and Shree Vasant K. Nayi, Superintendent of Police, Patan—both key leaders in the region, whose continued support is instrumental in strengthening agricultural initiatives.
The visit began with a warm welcome, during which the dignitaries were honoured with bouquets, shawls, and mementoes as a gesture of our deepest gratitude and respect. Inside the conference room, Dr. rahul gupta, Dr. Dinesh Singh Rawat and Shilpa J. presented an insightful session highlighting Genus’ global leadership in bovine genetics, along with an in-depth explanation of Sexcel—our proprietary sexed semen technology that is transforming cattle breeding outcomes in India.
Following the presentation, the dignitaries toured our state-of-the-art sexing production facility. Dr. Rahul Gupta, alongside Mr. Tirath Jotva, offered a detailed walkthrough of the technology and its scientific principles. For many present, it was the first time witnessing this advanced reproductive innovation, and their appreciation for its potential impact on India’s dairy productivity was truly inspiring.
This landmark visit was not just a ceremonial event—it signified the alignment of vision between Genus ABS India and the leadership of Gujarat. It reaffirmed our collective mission to empower Indian dairy farmers with sustainable, science-backed solutions to build a more prosperous and genetically superior future.
