Genus Breeding India (ABS India) is part of Genus PLC the world’s leading provider of bovine genetics and reproduction services. There is a need for a Senior Accountant with overall experience in MIS, Accounting, GST, TDS, Taxation, Audits and Inventory accounting, for all of India.
His/ Her ability to work with minimal guidance and work independently at times will be needed.
He/ She will be given the opportunity to interact/coordinate and build relationships with various internal and external customers.
Specific Accountabilities
- MIS Preparation and Reporting
- GL reconciliation and Trail Balance Analysis
- Take charge of accounts receivable – from record to report, milestone billing and f/up for receivables
- Variance Analysis of MoM accounts
- Assist in various Audits (Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, GST Audit & TP Audit)
- Ensuring timely completion and accuracy of month-end activities
- Work directly with Finance Controller – India, for reporting and Internal control compliance requirements.
- Ensure Indian entities operate under an appropriate financial control environment by group policies and procedures.
- Co-ordinate with Statutory and Group Internal Auditors. Ensure compliances.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified M.Com / B. Com, MBA or any degree in commerce field. Preferred Semi-qualified/qualified CA or CMA will be an added advantage.
- 7-8 years of relevant experience of which 2-3 years in a multinational company.
- Good experience in independently handling GST and taxation matters, Internal audit / internal controls experience
- Thorough understanding of technical accounting issues
- A solid base of system skills and the ability to drive efficiencies through system changes and improvements.
- Proficient in English both written and spoken skills
- Having analytical skills
- Expert in Microsoft Excel and Tally ERP / D365
- Manufacturing or Agriculture Industry experience is a bonus
